What is World Breastfeeding Week?

World Breastfeeding Week 2016 kicked off August 1st, 2016! 
World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) was started by the
World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) in 1991. The main goals of World Breastfeeding Week is to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding around the world.

Who participates in World Breastfeeding Week?

Anyone can participate in WBW! There are more than 170 countries that recognize and participate in World Breastfeeding Week.

How can I participate in World Breastfeeding Week?

Members of the Cedar Valley Breastfeeding Coalition have planned four different events this week in celebration of World Breastfeeding Week. At each event there will be prizes, refreshments, and a time to socialize!
